TPD Officers Use Tasers to End Standoff

07/06/2015 – Officers arrested a 40-year-old man after a police chase and standoff in south Tulsa late Sunday.

Police said they stopped the car 61st and Lewis for a traffic violation at 11:30 p.m. but the driver refused to talk to the officer and drove off.

During the chase, police used stop sticks to flatten two of its tires and stop the car. Officers said the suspect still refused to get out and after a 45-minute standoff, police broke a window and fired pepper balls inside.

Police said Ramsey continued to resist getting into a scuffle with officers who had to tase him before arresting him.

They booked the suspect into the Tulsa County jail on complaints including eluding, driving left of center and resisting arrest.
