Downtown Public Safety + Technology
The Tulsa Police Foundation funds downtown public safety and technology initiatives that help keep residents, workers and visitors safe.
Pedal-Assist
Electric Bikes
The Foundation is equipping downtown officers with pedal-assist electric bicycles. These bikes allow officers to cover more ground quickly, and access areas that patrol cars can’t reach. Equally important, officers on bike patrol are more visible and approachable to Tulsans.

The Foundation supports the RTIC which acts as Tulsa’s central nerve center, connecting officers in the field with real-time intelligence. From situational mapping to coordinated support during major events, the RTIC ensures every unit has the information needed to make informed, confident decisions.

The Real Time Information Center (RTIC) is where technology and strategy converge empowering officers to respond faster. By bringing together live video feeds, traffic sensors, license-plate readers, dispatch data, and more, the RTIC empowers officers and city partners to respond faster, smarter and with heightened awareness.
Technology and strategy converge in Oklahoma’s first RTIC, empowering officers to respond to incidents more quickly and with heightened awareness. Our Downtown Public Safety & Technology Task Force provides support for the RTIC, in keeping with our vision to make Tulsa the safest city with the highest quality of life.
