No. The Foundation is independent of TPD and the City. We collaborate closely with department leadership, but all funds are raised by the Foundation as a completely separate nonprofit organization. Active Tulsa Police officers and employees are not eligible to serve on the governing board of the Foundation.
Officer Well-Being & Training — Leadership development and TPD family events.
Life-Saving Equipment — Supplying ballistic shields, protective gear, DNA detection, and other state-of-the-art tools.
Recruitment & Retention Support — Collaborating with Tulsa Police Academy to attract and keep high-quality officers through innovative recruiting strategies.
Downtown Public Safety & Technology — Targeted support for the needs of officers charged with downtown public safety such as purchasing pedal-assist E-bikes, equipping the TPD downtown storefront.

No. The Foundation prioritizes protective equipment, training, wellness, technology, and community engagement—not firearms or ammunition.
Before the holidays, the Foundation secures donations and in-kind gifts enabling it to furnish officers with meal kits, gift cards, diapers, fuel cards and other items to randomly “gift” to Tulsans in need throughout our community.
Serve for Safety is the Foundation’s annual pickleball tournament and party/fundraiser. In addition to playing doubles in the tournament, individuals can enter a special division to play with a local hero or buy a ticket to the party and enjoy a pro pickleball exhibition, casual dinner and drinks while engaging with TPD officers and raising money for a great cause.
A broad community of supporters: individuals, families, businesses, and private foundations—everyone who believes in making Tulsa safer while fostering goodwill between officers and neighbors.
